For almost 60 years, Gist Silversmiths has set the standard for buckle design and craftsmanship. That style is recognizable and unique to our products. Each product is made-to-order in the foothills of Northern California, USA!
Our vast product offering includes budget-conscious, die stamped and electroplated buckles with limited variables to hand crafted designs in various levels of precious metals.
While technology has brought great benefits to our manufacturing capabilities, the fast development of AI has also emerged on the design scene. Most AI models indicate a level of 3D design and variable features that we cannot achieve through hand craftsmanship or die stamped elements. AI can be a great tool for many things, but unfortunately AI created buckles designs are rarely feasible to build using traditional silversmithing methods. Due to potential copy right and intellectual property infringements, we cannot make exact replicas of AI generated images created by others, which may subject our company to legal liability and penalties. We can do our best to make a custom buckle based on the design inspiration you provide.
Effective immediately, quote requests that include AI rendered buckle designs will require a $200 non-refundable down payment for our art department to rework the design into a buckle image that Gist can manufacture. In addition, we require a minimum customer budget of $1000 on the order (design art fee plus product quote).
